Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

As SEO experts it is our role to keep up to date with these changes to ensure our clients constantly perform.

Search Engine Optimisation is the practice of enabling a website to rank higher in the organic or natural search engine results. It differs from Paid Search or sponsored listings and approximately 65% of searchers click on Organic results as opposed to sponsored listings.

How does search engine Optimisation work?

When Google first released it differed from other search engine models because it incorporated a voting system as a ranking factor as oppose to simply looking at documents and analysing the text that they contained for a keyword match, it then reviewed third party websites that linked to your website. Initially the more votes the better but over time Google’s algorithm has advanced to look at the authority of the links pointing back the type of sites, how relevant they are. This has simply advanced over time with the introduction of other ranking factors such as unique content, speed of website etc.
